Video about Free Geek Twin Cities

Free Geek would like to thank a Minneapolis based “This Does Not Compute” Youtube channel for creating a great video about Free Geek history and operations. The video is available at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0JIOqjsfnE
The channel is a favorite of a number of Free Geek staff as it covers in depth topics that would be interesting to people who enjoy technology.

Earth Day 2018 Electronics collection event

April 22nd, 2018 is Earth Day. Free Geek will participate by holding an electronics collection event.

Part of the collected computers will be refurbished and donated to the House of Charity – to help those who need access to technology but cannot afford to purchase computers otherwise.

There is 3 collection points:

  1. Free Geek’s own location in South Minneapolis
  2. 9Round Fitness of Eagan
  3. 9Round Fitness of Woodbury
