Changes to Accepted Items + Addition of Mandatory Fees
Happy Winter from FGTC! Important Donation Policy updates to share:
Over the past few months, Free Geek Twin Cities has been experimenting with accepting certain difficult-to-recycle items. We opened the floodgates for printers, scanners, TVs, and monitors. The response was, frankly, a bit too much to handle. But handle it we did.
After dilligently gathering intel, we have arrived at a policy that allows us to continue to serve our donors while operating within a more sustainable capacity.
FGTC will now have Mandatory $5 Donation Fees and 2 item donation limits on the following items:
Donation & Recycling alternatives for items we may not accept are gathered on our ‘Accepted Electronics’ page. Individuals and households can often recycle items for free with their county of residence. Businesses will almost always incur recycling fees, depending on what is donated.
