Store Updates + Offerings
Spring 2021 saw the grand reopening of our thrift store!
During lockdown, Free Geek Twin Cities made the quick migration to online sales and curbside pickup to continue to meet the needs of our customers during a global pandemic.
We also seized the opportunity to remodel our thrift store. What used to be an odd collection of rooms and corners is now a large open floor shopping space.
Check out this snapshot of our store a few months ago…
While we have long since reopened for in-person shopping, our online store remains active and updated. Customers can browse and order items online for pickup at Free Geek HQ- local pickup only. Browse our online store at the following link:

In addition to Ubuntu Linux 22.04, we now offer a selection of refurbished computers pre-installed with Windows 10 Home.
We now offer discounted income-based eligibility computers to those who can demonstrate need. This includes a functioning productivity-level desktop computer with Windows 10 for just $30. More information about the program can be found at the link below:

Preservation Efforts
In February, Free Geek Twin Cities went to a place called Computer Reset, a closed computer store in Dallas, TX, to pick up its largest donation ever. Volunteer from our retro team took 10 tons of computer equipment 1,000 miles back to Minneapolis!
